Griselda Pattillo was born and raised in Houston, TX with roots in Tamaulipas and Puebla, Mexico. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate and graduate studies. Griselda holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Education from the College of Education, and a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the Steven Hicks School of Social Work.
After graduation, Griselda worked in the medical field at local community clinics. Her most impactful work was at People’s Community Clinic in Austin as a mental health therapist specializing in immigrant populations in transition. She also served in the US Army, part-time and on active duty, and separated after 12 years of faithful service. Until most recently, she continued to assist the military population serving as Psychological Health Coordinator for the Texas Army National Guard Behavioral Health program. She has now transitioned to focus solely on her private practice.
Now a full-time mental health therapist and military spouse, Griselda resides in Georgetown, TX with her husband, David, their daughters, Emma, Penelope, Lily and their furry sidekicks, Faith the Golden Retriever and Darwin the short hair orange tabby.
